Conspire

These two have been conspiring since birth when they near perfectly carried out a plan to kept three sisters apart on on one's wedding day. They faked milk comas to deflect the blame, but you can only pretend to be in a milk coma for so long really. We had to keep them apart for a little over a year and a half after all the havoc they tried to raise, but when the two were reunited, it wasn't long before they were at it again, babbling in some secret language they have already brought to a fairly fluent level. I think they are still trying to lay low and act cute, but who knows what they now have in the planning stages....

Justice

Sometimes, it's really hard to have that perfect picture that truly does justice to a situation. For example, this was a totally awesome snow fort, but any photo only captures it's whiteness and loses the detail of the superb architecture and strategy of the design.

Similarly, one may think that this is simply another example of Dan's athletic prowess on the field, when it may actually be the only picture in existance of Dan participating in team sport, or at least running with a football.

There are times, however, when a photo really does well to sum up and draw you in. I think that often when looking at the pictures of food in magazines or with recipes. You look at that photo and immediately know how it would smell, the texture as it hits your mouth, and the taste to savor as you clean the plate. I know those photos are no accident, and I have admired many a amatuer blog that impress just like any cooking magazine. I like to cook, but have never shared. Now, I start an new section of this blog - Recipes. We will start with an inspiration that magically "just came" to my husband right there in the middle of the grocery store, so alas, I cannot take credit. I promise that you can do this at home and have delicious and grand results - easy to impress, as demonstrated by the last photo. As you see, these photos really do justice to this spring break dessert.

Ball

Lesson on how to dye your feet - demonstrate with egg first
Aaww..

1 minute 30 second egg "hunt" on the village green

For a girl who finds balls in all the world around her - from exclamations of "Ball!" with drops of spilled milk on the table to the very exciting big ball in the night sky - Easter is just another day of finding balls in the yard, except Mom makes you wear the dress that Grandpa picked out for you, and Dad takes lots of pictures.
The day truly was very exciting. It reached an astonishing 70 degrees, so even if it was 35 degrees outside yesterday, I can still hold possible false hope that summer will hold more than a handful of warm days this year.

I guess nothing is a constant

Even if it's been that way your whole life.
